ABOUT THE RACE
Australia’s closest snow race - 2024 will see the 7th Annual Mt Baw Baw Dog Sled Dash – to be held on Saturday August 31 & Sunday September 1st 2024 at Mt. Baw Baw Alpine Resort.

Offering some of the most challenging cross country trails for competitors and great views for spectators at the closest snow race to Melbourne, the Mt. Baw Baw Dog Sled Dash is one to add to the calendar!

Competitors take off at the top of the village before tackling a steep climb to the top of the summit; these challenging trails test every skill the musher has and relies on the strong bond between mushers and their dogs. These tracks are not for the beginner, or weak at heart.
